WAB Grade 10 students take on environmental protection — one Chinese speech at a time.

At WAB, teachers aren't just educators — they're innovators, collaborating to design real change for students.

In this week’s WAB Podcast, two Grade 5 students and their PYP Coordinator share how the PYP Exhibition turns real-world issues like rising sea levels and marine plastic pollution into student-led inquiries that build research, collaboration, and advocacy skills—and show that even small actions can ripple outward to make a difference.

Seniors, families, and counsellors at WAB work together to look beyond rankings and offer letters, focusing instead on “best fit” pathways that match each student’s strengths, values, and dreams for life after graduation.

In this week's WAB Podcast, TEDx Club leader Ryan (G11) and speaker Ava (G9) discuss how students transform ideas into powerful talks through months of research, peer mentoring, and refinement—building skills in communication, leadership, and critical thinking that extend far beyond the stage.

Middle School students at WAB build deep disciplinary knowledge across subjects and develop critical thinking skills to evaluate information, use AI intentionally, and apply learning in unfamiliar contexts—capabilities that cannot be replaced by artificial intelligence.

In WAB’s Elementary School, students are already building the questioning, critical thinking, and sense of agency they’ll need for an AI-shaped future by engaging in inquiry-based projects, hands-on design, and everyday practices that help them explain their reasoning and make thoughtful choices about how they use tools.

This year’s IB DP Visual Arts Exhibition invited viewers into powerful, deeply personal Grade 12 exhibitions that explored identity, power, and perception, showcasing students’ technical skill, creative risk-taking, and their ability to use art to make sense of themselves and the world.
