WAB Wins 2025 China Schools Award for Arts & Creativity 

 WAB is proud to announce that we have won the 2025 China Schools Award (CSA) for Arts and Creativity. This award recognizes the school that provides outstanding creative arts education, demonstrating both depth and breadth across visual arts, drama, music, and more. 

Celebrating Creativity in Education 

The CSA, organized for the fourth year by the British Chamber of Commerce in China, honors excellence in international K-12 education across China. Winning the Arts and Creativity Award underscores WAB’s commitment to fostering creativity and individuality through diverse curricular and extracurricular programs across all school sections. 

From Art Explosion in Elementary School to Middle and High School theater programs, Day 9 activities, and the DP Art Exhibition, WAB provides students with opportunities to explore and express their creativity. Events like the Identity Film Festival, WAB Curated, school plays, and APAC arts conferences enable students to showcase their work and make meaningful connections.  

WAB's Head of School, Dr. Marta Medved Krajnovic, emphasized, "Winning the Arts and Creativity Award is a reflection of WAB's long-term and deep commitment to fostering imagination, self-expression, and innovative ways to engage students with arts. Creativity is crucial to holistic education and personalized growth, empowering students to think critically, take risks, and find their unique voices."  

She further added, "This award, alongside our previous  years’ wins in Science and Technology, Staff Development, and Holistic Education, highlights the dedication of our educators, students, and community in building an inspiring and dynamic learning environment for our learners of all ages."   

A Legacy of Success at CSA 

WAB has consistently been a strong contender at the CSA. We won both the Science & Technology Award and the Staff Development & Wellbeing Award in 2024 and the Holistic Education Award in 2023.  

• The Science & Technology Award acknowledges schools that successfully integrate innovative STEM and EdTech into teaching and learning, enhancing educational experiences through technology. 

• The Staff Development & Wellbeing Award recognizes schools that prioritize professional growth, staff well-being, and work-life balance for faculty and staff. 

• The Holistic Education Award recognizes the school that provides outstanding opportunities for students to develop skills outside the classroom and/or shows the greatest innovation and commitment in providing for their emotional, social, ethical, and academic needs.
