WAB Podcast | Flourishing Together: What’s Ahead for WAB

WAB Podcast | Flourishing Together: What’s Ahead for WAB

The WAB Podcast is back for a brand-new school year! In our first episode of Season 6, Head of School Dr. Marta Medved Krajnovic and Director of Innovation, Learning and Teaching Stephen Taylor sit down to reflect on what they’re most excited about this year and how WAB continues to evolve as a learning community. You’ll also hear directly from students as they share what they’re most looking forward to this year.

Marta shares her excitement for a year of “flourishing,” building on the momentum of last year’s milestone celebrations and major global conferences. She highlights the joy of working closely with students and staff, seeing agency in action, and continuing to raise the quality of learning experiences across every division.

Stephen introduces one of the exciting new initiatives in the Elementary School: the pilot of the Dual Language Program, where students are learning in both Chinese and English in a fully integrated way. The pilot already includes children from multiple language backgrounds, and both students and parents are enthusiastic about what it means for bilingual and multilingual learning at WAB.

Together, Marta and Stephen reflect on the many exciting things happening across the school, from newly renovated spaces, continued holistic education for our learners, and community traditions that connect students across ages and cultures. They also discuss WAB’s ongoing commitment to global citizenship, inclusion, sustainability, and student agency, which shape everything from classroom learning to community action.

It’s a conversation full of hope and excitement for the year ahead. Tune in to hear how WAB is continuing to nurture joyful and challenging learning for every student.
