WAB Class of 2025: 100+ Early Acceptances and Counting!

WAB Class of 2025: 100+ Early Acceptances and Counting!

WAB is excited to announce that our Class of 2025 students have received over 100 early acceptances worldwide. From Asia to Europe to North America, our seniors are ready to take the next step in their learning and life.

The acceptances also reflect the diverse passions and interests of our students. From creative arts and engineering to sciences and humanities, WAB students are pursuing their own paths. Several students have been accepted into top art and design programs such as the University of the Arts London, University of Creative Arts, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Savannah College of Art and Design.

Students have secured multiple acceptances in STEM fields, including engineering at Cornell University, biomedical sciences at the University of Manchester, and veterinary biosciences at the University of Glasgow. We also have strong representation in the social sciences and humanities, with students pursuing degrees in Politics & International Relations at the University of Oxford and Durham University, History & Russian at the University of Bristol, and University College London.

Jeremy, who has been accepted to the University of Oxford, shared how his interest in history and politics developed at WAB: "I always felt politics would enable me to make a positive difference, but choosing History as a Higher Level subject in the IBDP opened up a new area of profound academic interest. I am passionate about bridging Europe and China, my two 'homes', closer together. Studying History and Politics will synthesize the defining ideas of the past, present, and future to broaden my intercultural understanding of Europe and China."

Grade 12 student Nicole is excited to receive an offer to study biomedical sciences! Nicole said, "It's been a dream of mine to become a doctor, and I especially love learning about our biological systems and their medical application." She added that "I was inspired daily by my peers at WAB, and they drove me to challenge myself in both academics and extracurriculars, especially applying myself to their service clubs. I'm forever grateful for the support of everyone at WAB, especially my counselor and science teachers for answering every question and being there for me every step of the way."

Another Grade 12 student Benji shared: "From a young age, I have been fascinated by the world of Aviation. At WAB, my fascination was presented during the Grade 10 Personal Project, where I researched the Aviation Industry's response to the Pandemic. In the IB Diploma, a foundational education in Economics and Geography has combined with my passion to lead me to choose Aviation Management as my Major, which I am looking forward to studying in either Hong Kong, Canada, or the United States."

Juria from the Class of 2025 will be attending the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) at Tufts University. She explained that her reason for choosing painting was rooted in her interest in visual arts. "My experience at WAB has played a crucial role in shaping my decision to pursue painting. The supportive environment and encouragement from my teachers and peers helped me push my boundaries in creating art and developing my interests," she said.

These early acceptances are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, along with the support and guidance provided by their teachers, counselors, and parents. We congratulate the Class of 2025 on their achievements and look forward to seeing them make a difference in the years to come!
