Exploring Passions at the MS & HS Activities Fairs

Exploring Passions at the MS & HS Activities Fairs

Campus was buzzing this week as Middle and High School students explored more than 50 clubs and 200 activities at this year’s Activities Fairs. From psychology and debate to music, film, and service projects, there was something for everyone and plenty of ways to dive in and make a difference.

For the first time, Middle School also hosted its own Activities Fair, and there were plenty of opportunities to get involved.

“Being part of WABX Productions gives me the chance to help in major school events, including school tournaments and develop real technical and public speaking skills. It’s my second year in the group, and since I want to go into producing in the future, it’s amazing preparation. Having these opportunities in Middle School also lets me see what the High School program is like, which makes it even more exciting.” – Andrea, Grade 8

At WAB, activities are about following passions and building community. Whether it’s running a film festival, designing a magazine, leading an environmental project, or performing on stage, students are at the center of it all.

“Being part of ProFarmer gave me the chance to try something totally new and learn so much about farming. I love that there’s wiggle room and options, it really gives people choice in what they want to explore.” - Anneke, Grade 10

“I was never really a sports kid growing up, but volleyball, basketball, and soccer at WAB have given me so many opportunities. Sports here are about community and connection, our teams are so diverse, and most of my closest friends I’ve met through sports. APAC is especially meaningful because even though we’re from different schools, we all share the same goals and build strong connections.” - Claire, Grade 11

“VEX Robotics has been such a fun way to challenge myself, figuring things out on your own, programming, and competing against other teams. Winning the Design Award at ACAMIS last year was an especially rewarding and memorable experience.” - Ethan, Grade 11

Walking around the fairs, you could feel the energy and curiosity that make WAB special. And with so many ways to get involved, every student has the chance to connect with their peers, challenge themselves and discover what excites them most!
