Celebrating the IB Results of WAB's Class of 2026!

WAB is proud to share the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results for the Class of 2026. These students leave WAB as thoughtful, capable young people ready for what's next.

Results at a Glance 

“Despite the fact that the IBDP is widely regarded as one of the most academically challenging high school programs in the world, at WAB the Diploma Programme is open to any student who wants to take it on. We strongly believe that every student deserves the opportunity to challenge and extend themselves academically, with our teachers there to support and guide them along the way. 

The numbers above are remarkable, particularly because they reflect the achievements of a truly diverse cohort of students, each striving to reach their own personal best.” Dr. Marta Medved Krajnovic, Head of School 

Sixteen students completed the Diploma bilingually, studying in Chinese, German, Hebrew, and Korean as well as English. With 23 nationalities in this graduating class, they are continuing their studies in many different countries.  

In Their Own Words 

Every result here belongs to a student with their own story. 

Hannah who started at WAB in Grade 4, will be studying Physics and Astrophysics at UC Berkeley: "At WAB, I've learned to advocate for myself, seek out resources, and have the courage to create something that did not exist before, even if I might fail," she says. "These skills will be key to my success and to finding belonging at Berkeley." 

Aiden who started at WAB in Early Years, is headed to Carnegie Mellon's School of Computer Science: "The diversity at this school has enabled me to learn to interact with a wide variety of individuals," he says, "teaching me how to understand and join any community I find myself in." 

Rosalina, who started in Grade 3, had her pick of USC, UC San Diego, Tufts, and Maryland: "I will continue to put in the hard work as I head off on a new journey at university," she says, "while cherishing the memories I had at WAB, for they certainly nurtured my originality and creativity." 

Berat studied two years of HL Business Management and Economics and spent two years leading the ProFarmer service initiative at WAB. He is pursuing International Business: "WAB has given me an incredible foundation," he says. "I am grateful for everything that WAB has given to me." 

Vivian, who joined in Grade 5, received offers from several top design programs, and says what stuck with her most was how little she had to figure everything out alone. "From choosing schools to how to provide materials, everything that might happen has been thought out in advance for us." 

Where They are Going 

Our graduates are headed to universities on five continents, including Carnegie Mellon University, Northwestern University, Duke University, UC Berkeley, University College London, University of Sydney, University of Hong Kong, Seoul National University and the University of Edinburgh among them, as well as strong design, science, business, engineering, and international relations programs across Asia, Australia, and Europe. And what will they bring with them to these new places? A habit of asking good questions, a commitment to sustainability and service, and the resilience of flourishing in new environments that comes from growing up in a community like WAB.
