When parents and school work together, our students flourish. That’s why we see parents as true partners in our community. From the first day of school to the many events and activities that follow, there are countless ways for parents to connect and learn at WAB. And the numbers tell the story too. See just how diverse and active our community is at the start of this school year. Parent Link is our volunteer parent organization that connects families, students, and the school. Parent Link supports events, sharing parent perspectives with school leadership, and enriching daily life on campus. From welcoming new families to organizing Fun Fair, hosting coffee mornings and raising Tiger Spirit at sports and arts activities, Parent Link enriches life on campus. Whether volunteering at the Parent Link Shop, joining a book club, or organizing a community outing in Beijing, parents are involved in many ways. "At the heart of Parent Link lies something truly amazing - It is the dedication of our parents and staff with the common goal of creating a warm loving environment for our children. I know my child feels more safe, love and secured because of my participation. I often share with prospective parents that WAB is just not a school. We are a protective community, a supportive village. "We All Belong” is our school motto as our WABBIES strive to live up to this standard every day. Once a WABBIE, always a WABBIE." - Hang, Parent Link Chair In just the first six weeks of school, parents were welcomed to almost 50 opportunities to be on campus, whether to learn, volunteer, cheer on our students, or simply connect with one another. Among these were our Back to School Nights, where parents have a chance to step into their child’s world of learning. Each year, these evenings offer a special opportunity for parents to meet teachers, understand curriculum pathways, and see how WAB’s innovative, student-centered approach comes alive in classrooms. Just as important, it’s a time to connect with other parents and feel the energy of our community at the start of a new school year. |

At WAB, parents can also continue lifelong learning through our Parents as Learners series. Families are invited to join workshops and talks that address practical topics like parenting in the digital age, supporting teenagers, conflict resolution, or even how math is taught in different grade levels. These sessions, led by WAB educators and guest speakers, strengthen our shared learning community. Beyond the classroom, parents are also welcome in our three libraries, where they can browse from over 60,000 books in 15 languages, making campus a place for the whole family to learn and grow.

At WAB, engaging with parents means building relationships, sharing passions, and creating meaningful connections that enhance every child’s journey. We believe learning is strongest when families feel connected to campus life, so we welcome parents to be part of the experiences that make WAB special.
