Tiger Spirit Shines in Season 2 Competitions!

Our athletes gave their all during APAC Season 2, showing determination and true Tiger spirit.  While we proudly hosted Super APAC Basketball right here on campus, other teams travelled to compete in Shanghai, Hanoi, and beyond. 

And what a season it was! 

Our APAC Touch Rugby teams dominated at Shanghai American School Puxi: 

• Boys –  1st place & Spirit of APAC Award 

• Girls – 1st place 

• Mixed –  Team A 1st |  Team B 3rd 

In the pool at Shanghai American School Pudong, our APAC Swim Team placed 6th and earned the Spirit of APAC Award. 

On the court, our Tigers battled hard across divisions: 

• APAC Boys Basketball (hosted at WAB) – 8th 

• APAC Girls Basketball at UNIS – 4th & Spirit of APAC Award 

• JPAC Boys Basketball at ISB – 5th 

• JPAC Girls Basketball at ISB – 5th 

At Concordia International School of Shanghai, our precision and focus shone through: 

• APAC Boys Table Tennis – 3rd place 

• ACAMIS Table Tennis –  1st place overall 

• ACAMIS VEX Robotics –  3rd place 

While we’re proud of our podium finishes, our Spirit awards show the sportsmanship of our athletes. Athletics challenge our students physically, but we also want them to develop resilience, teamwork, communication, and leadership. Involvement in sport also provides students with balance, they learn how to win with humility and lose with grace. They learn how to support one another and learn how to represent something larger than themselves. 

As Kirby, our Athletics and Activities Director, reflected: “Season 2 was a powerful reminder of what it means to be a WABbie. Yes, we’re proud of all our results, the podium finishes and championships, but what stands out even more is the way our students competed. Earning multiple Spirit of APAC awards shows that our athletes lead with integrity, respect, and heart. Across APAC, JPAC, and ACAMIS, our teams represented WAB with pride. That’s the kind of success we want to build in our student athletes and that lasts far beyond a scoreboard.”
