Parents
The Western Academy of Beijing is at the center of a warm, truly diverse international community that extends well beyond students, parents and staff. Our WAB spirit is one of caring, passion and joy.
Parent Link
Parent Link is the volunteer parent organization that serves as the link between our school, the students and parents that make up the WAB community. Parent Link’s mission is to make a difference by connecting, supporting and enriching our community in a spirit of shared enthusiasm and positive action.
Parent Link connects with the parent community and communicates with parents about events throughout the school as well as share the needs and views of parents with the school leadership. All WAB parents and guardians are members of Parent Link - everyone is highly welcome to participate! For more information, email at parentlink@wab.edu.
Supporting School Activities
Parent Link supports students, teachers and parents through a variety of activities and initiatives. Tiger Spirit Link collaborates with the WABX department to provide support to students involved in extracurricular sports and artistic events.
Friends of the Library collaborates with the school’s libraries to organize book clubs, book fairs, book swaps and even pajama parties to promote a love of books and reading. Volunteers at the school’s Parent Link shop offer a wide variety of clothing and gift items.

Parents as Learners
At WAB, we embrace the idea that we are all a community of learners, and our "Parents as Learners" series is designed to strengthen this connection by offering a diverse range of sessions tailored to meet the needs of our families.
Topics covered range from how to talk to teenagers, conflict resolution techniques, how we teach Math, and practical tips for supporting your child through their high school journey. Parents will hear from a range of in house and external experts in these interactive sessions.
