Alumni Profile: Bart Lukas Brader

As part of our 30th Anniversary Celebrations, we proudly present a new Alumni Profile series. Featuring 30 profiles from alumni across the world and across the years, this collection showcases their stories as they came to WAB and beyond.

Years have you studied at WAB?

2007 - 2010

What brought your family to WAB/Beijing?

My father received an offer to work for NXP Semiconductors, helping develop speakers used in mobile phones through robotics. After that, he worked at Fokker Elmo in China for a few years, developing cable harnesses used in aircraft.

Where are you located now?

Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

What are you doing now?

Current Head of Digital Technology at Scotch Australia Grammar School in Vietnam.

What's your fondest memory of WAB?

It took me years to get over and accept that the world was not like WAB. I miss almost everything about it, and it has definitely been one of the main influences in my own teaching journey. My favorite memories involve the volleyball team over the two years with Caleb and the rest of the team. I don't think I have experienced a group like that since.

Please share a story about how you are still making a difference today.

I work as a teacher and try to use the same teaching experiences that I experienced as a student at WAB.
