Programs

From August 1 to August 19, 2022, the WAB campus will be open to our community to use the facilities and to join a range of summer activities organized by external providers. This page includes all the information you will need to know about what’s on @WAB over the summer.

Access to Campus - August 1 to 19, 2022

ENTRY AND EXIT
Only the ES Main Gate will be open for entering and exiting campus. Please find the WAB Campus Navigation map here.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  1. The campus will be accessible to WAB families only, and a valid WAB ID will be required for all parents and students to enter campus. If you do not have a valid ID, please visit our Safety and Security page. ES students can pick up their ID's at the ES main gate. New families without a WAB ID should bring a copy of each parent and child's passport to register to enter campus.
  2. Anyone accessing campus must have been in Beijing for 7 days and hold a recent COVID-19 test, no more than 48 hours old
  3. All adults and students with their own phones, must show green codes on both the Beijing Health Kit and Travel App
  4. ES and MS students who are not attending an organized activity must be accompanied and supervised by a parent while on campus.
  5. Upon first entry each week, a parent must sign this commitment letter.
  6. If your child is unwell, or has any COVID-19 related symptoms, they must not enter campus. Please inform the school nurse promptly and seen the doctor as soon as possible.

CAMPUS HOURS AND FACILITIES ACCESS

Monday – Sunday 8:00am to 8:00pm

  • ES and MS Playgrounds - Open
  • ECC including playground - Closed
  • Tiger Field - Open
  • ES, MS and HS Gyms - Open
  • Pool - Closed
  • Adrenaline Fitness Center – Closed
  • Tiger L'air - Closed (Only available for organized activities in Summer Camps)

FOOD AND DRINK

Chartwells, WAB’s Catering Contractor, will operate in the Lotus Lounge during summer. Hours of operation will be Monday to Friday, 8:00am-2:00pm. Chartwells will not provide lunch, but will carry limited offerings which include sandwiches and fruit.

Food deliveries to WAB are not permitted.

COVID-19 TESTING IN HS CAR PARK

WAB is pleased to be offering a free testing service from August 1 to 21 to all our community. Students, parents and staff can access testing each day from 8:00am to 9:30am, 7 days a week. Enter via the High School main gate.

Everyone will need to register with KingMed (if they have not already done so). Registration instructions are here. Instructions for getting your PDF report are here, and any issues with test results will need to be discussed directly with KingMed. Access to the High School car park for testing will require: 1. WAB ID, 2. Green status on your China Travel App, 3. Green status on your Beijing Health Kit.

Please note: After testing, those wishing to access the WAB campus will need to go to the ES Main Gate for entry.

Flips & Kicks Plus Activities Camp

Date: August 1-5, 8-12, & 15-19
Time: Half Day 09:00-12:00
           Full Day 09:00-14:30
Ages: Group A – Ages 4-7
           Group B – Ages 8-12

S.A.F.A. Football

Date: August 1-5, 8-12, & 15-19
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Ages: 7-12 Years, Boys and Girls

TBT Table Tennis

Date: August 1-5, 8-12, & 15-19
Time: 8:30am - 10:00am
Ages: 8-18 (Maximum Attendees 12)

 


 


The campus will be accessible to WAB families only, and a valid WAB ID will be required for all parents and students to enter campus. If you do not have a valid ID, please visit our Safety and Security page.

  • ES and MS students who are not attending an organized camp must be accompanied and supervised by a parent/guardian while on campus.
  • ES and MS students will not be allowed to leave campus without an adult picking them up.
  • Ayi's and drivers will not have access to campus, except to pick-up/drop-off students in the designated area next to the ES Main Gate.
  • Only the ES Main Gate will be open for entering and exiting campus. Please find the WAB Campus Navigation map here.

Health Services during Summer 

Over the summer, the WAB Health and Illness Policy and Procedures will continue to apply to everyone on campus. This includes: 

  1. If anyone access campus has a fever they cannot come on campus until they are symptom free without medication for 48 hours, and parents must complete the WAB Health Questionnaire-in English. A new negative COVID-19 test or medical certificate is also required before return. All documents must be sent to esnurses@wab.edu 
  2. Is anyone has diarrhea or vomits they must not come to campus until they are symptom free without medication for 72 hours. 
  3. Students with serious medical needs must carry their own emergency medication with an emergency action plan in their backpack.   

Nurses will be on campus over the summer from 9am to 5pm. For medical support, please email WAB nurses on-duty via esnurses@wab.edu,  or call the emergency hotline at 139 1178 2543 for any emergencies on campus.
