An investment in a culturally diverse, international education is an investment in your child’s future.

As a WAB student, your child will have access to individuals, ideas and experiences that are not typical of a traditional school environment.

Fees above are listed in RMB (Chinese Yuan). Fees may be paid in RMB or other currencies. See Payment Methods, Terms and Conditions below for details.

Families applying to WAB are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of 2,100 RMB per applicant, regardless of the admissions decision or outcomes.

Tuition fees are inclusive of transportation, most after-school activities offered by the school, and all required textbooks and school supplies. Students must purchase their own laptops and calculators. Home Language Programs and individual instrument lessons are not included.

Tuition Fees Payment Information and Important Dates

A non-refundable Basic Tuition Fee of 30,000 RMB is required to be paid annually to ensure the student’s enrollment.
For returning students, the full annual Tuition Fees are due on April 30, 2024.
For students newly admitted, the Tuition Fees for the school year are due 21 calendar days from the invoice date. 
A prorated Tuition Fee is accessible for families whose student enrolled after the school year has begun, and the student’s first day of school is set after the October break. A 10% reduction of the Tuition Fees (excluding the Basic Tuition) per calendar month will apply from the October start.
A 2% per month Late Payment Fee will be assessed on all overdue payments and will not be included in the fapiao amount if fapiao is required.

Payment Methods

Invoices are issued in RMB only with the school bank information included. WAB accepts bank transfers in RMB or other Currencies, please consider the current exchange rate and ensure the school fee is received in full. All bank fees and charges are the responsibility of the payer. The WAB standard exchange rate for USD payments is 7.0 for the 2024/25 school year. RMB cash payments can be deposited directly into the school’s CITIC Bank RMB account.

Bank Card Payments

Overseas debit/credit cards will incur an extra fee of 2.8% for Visa/Master cards, 3% for AMEX cards and 3.5% for JCB cards.  
Local credit cards will incur a fee of 0.6% on the total amount transferred, debit card plus an additional administration fee of 20RMB on each transaction.  
All bank charges are the responsibility of the payer.

Tuition Fees and Refund Policy

For withdrawal of students from school, please notify the Admissions Office in writing via admissions@wab.edu.

The Application Fee (2,100 RMB) is not refundable.
The Basic Tuition Fee (30,000 RMB) is not refundable. 
The Enriched Inclusion Program Fee (if applicable) is not refundable. 
The Tuition Fees after deducting the Basic Tuition Fee and Enriched Inclusion program Fee (if any), which are referred to as “Grade Level Tuition Fees,” will be partially refunded if an adequate written enrollment withdrawal notice is received by the Admissions Office following the schedule illustrated below. Any other form of communication with teachers, counselors, and principals is not accepted.

*The Grade Level Tuition refers to full-year Tuition Fees after deducting the Basic Tuition Fee (30,000 RMB) and Enriched Inclusion Program Fee, if any.

100% of the Grade Level Tuition Fees will be refunded if a written enrollment withdrawal notification is received on or before May 30th, 2024, and the student does not attend any school days for the school year.  
If an adequate written enrollment withdrawal notification is received as per the above schedule and the student will be attending classes for a period of time in the school year, 10% of the Grade Level Tuition Fees will be charged for each month attending WAB, regardless the number of school days attended within the month. 
No refunds are available for the enrollment withdrawal notification received after November 30, regardless of when the student was enrolled in the school year.
The original WAB fapiao must be returned to the school Finance Office before any refund, including a complete payment instruction, can be processed. The approved refund will only be made to the original tuition fee payer and must be claimed within three months of the student’s last school date.
All bank fees and charges are the responsibility of the original payer.

Fapiao Requirements

Fapiao is issued for WAB tuition fees only. Please send an email to WAB Finance via fapiao@wab.edu to obtain a Chinese official electronic Fapiao.

For corporate account payments, fapiao will be issued in the original payer’s name and the company tax code is required. Please indicate the student name, student number, and payment amount for the fapiao.
For personal account payments, please indicate the fapiao title, company tax code (if the fapiao is under company name), student name, student number, and payment amount for the fapiao.
Fapiao will only be issued after full payment of the total year’s school fees.

TRANSPORTATION

WAB provides transport for students to and from school, using modern, safe and comfortable buses and mini-buses. Our school buses are equipped with advanced air purification systems for our students, ensuring a healthy ride.

Bus routes service families in most of the areas of Beijing where expatriate families reside. A bus service is provided where there is a minimum of 3 students for one given stop.

The school provides transportation to all school-sponsored field trips and the service also extends to students involved in most after-school activities.

FOOD SERVICES

Lunch and snacks are not included in the school tuition. Students have the option of bringing their own food from home, or purchasing lunch and snacks at school using their SmartCard. Lunch costs range from 30 to 45 RMB.

WAB Food Services are managed by Sodexo, an international company highly regarded amongst its industry peers. WAB Food Services provide a wide range of international food options from various outlets within the school.
