We understand that families may relocate to Beijing throughout the school year and so, depending on availability, we can admit students mid-semester. However, in order to facilitate scheduling and course availability, we recommend High School students enroll either at the start of the school year in August or in January at the start of the second semester.

Once a complete application with all required documents has been received, we will contact you within 3-5 working days depending on the Admissions Committee schedule. If your child requires additional support then the process may take up to 10 working days.

Our cut-off date is August 31. For example, to enroll in the Early Years program (3 years old), your child must be 3 years old by August 31.

For the students entering Grade 2 and below, placement is based predominantly on age. In higher grades, the student's educational background will also be taken into consideration.

No. WAB students adhere to a school-wide dress code found in each individual school section’s Student and Parent Handbook.

Students are provided with a variety of lunch options each day provided by Sodexo.

Lunch prices can vary from a set menu from 25 RMB to 36 RMB and are paid using the student’s SmartCard, which can be recharged with money online.

Providing a safe and healthy learning environment for our students, staff and families is a top priority for Western Academy of Beijing, and we take this issue very seriously.
