Student Support Services
WAB’s Commitment to Inclusion: We All Belong
WAB believes that every student should feel seen, heard, and valued. When students feel included, it leads to improved social-emotional well-being, improved academic outcomes, and increased sense of community.
We meet student needs through an integrated student support model. All services are available to all students as needed. The homeroom/subject teacher is the primary support for students in their care. Teachers collaborate with Student Support and parents to develop a plan that best meets individual student’s needs.
Our commitment:
That children from all social, cultural, community, and family backgrounds, and of all identities and all abilities can:
- attend our school and be welcomed;
- learn in a safe and supportive environment, free from bullying, discrimination, or harassment;
- access and participate in a high-quality education and fully engage in the curriculum alongside their similar-aged peers;
- achieve academically and socially with reasonable adjustments and support tailored to meet their learning needs.
We take a collaborative approach that celebrates the diversity of each student, perceiving differences as assets and nurturing their interests.
