Safeguarding at WAB

WAB is committed to providing a safe learning environment where our students are protected from harm while on campus and on any school organized off-campus events.

WAB is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our students. We are aligned with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Minors.

WAB expects members and affiliates of our school community, including employees, outsourced staff, activity partners, volunteers, guests, parents, and visitors, to act with integrity and to take responsibility for keeping students safe.

Mr. Todd Hutchinson is our designated safeguarding officer (DSO). If you have any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a student at WAB please don't hesitate to email safeguarding@wab.edu.

All applicants for positions at WAB must undergo child protection screening involving the completion of the ECIS online child protection course, police background checks, signing our Code of Conduct and checks with past employers.
