Math in the Wild is an interdisciplinary unit where teachers from our Math Department worked with teachers from WAB Wild, our curricular outdoor education department. Students were given a set of materials and tasked with designing, modeling, and then building a tent using their knowledge of area, perimeter, and geometry. During their class' 3-day outdoor education trip, they had to build and sleep in the tents they created at WAB's outdoor education facility near the Great Wall of China.
