So far this year we have held six parent workshops on the Future of Learning at WAB (FLoW21).
The key elements of these conversations have been:
- Sharing of the inspiration and thinking behind this work
- More students being more successful more often
- Educational technology
- Developmental psychology & educational neuroscience
- Changing global and local educational expectations
- WAB's foundational goals and commitments
- Clarifications
- The Future of Learning at WAB is a community-wide effort. It is not a model developed by another school to be adopted by WAB. Our intentions have been to identify the needs and interests of our learners, study local and global research-based practices, and develop system solutions that best serve our community.
- TheFuture of Learning at WAB has not yet been determined, though we are committed to becoming even better at that which we already do exceptionally well.
- The Future of Learning at WAB will be created by all of us over then next few years.
- Explanations
- We explained what we mean by our Integrated Educational Ecosystem.
- We engaged teachers, parents and students in conversations about the Targets – how were they developed, whether we agree with them, and how will they be achieved.
- We described how the Committees, Working Groups, and Individual Actions are all part of WAB's efforts to create a Future of Learning at WAB which is more closely aligned to our Mission and Core Values.
