Concept-Based Workshops in the High School

High School teachers ran in-house workshops to develop their understanding of how learning through concepts stimulates engaging lessons and higher order thinking.

Concepts are big-picture, organizing ideas. They are key to opening up our thinking and creating connections. Teachers discussed strategies for developing concept-based teaching modules that support the ongoing journey into a more student-directed learning environment.

These workshops are part of a series of professional development sessions designed by WAB teachers and will run throughout the year.
