Talent Abounds at WAB's First Teacher Recruitment Fair

Hundreds of high-quality, experienced teachers from around the globe applied to join WAB ahead of our school’s first ever teacher recruitment fair on Saturday, October 9.

With more than 250 applications to attend, we welcomed over 160 highly qualified candidates to campus for interviews with leadership, student led tours, and to hear from a student panel.

"It was professionally very fulfilling to see a number of high-quality teacher candidates that were eager to join our teaching and learning community and contribute to the development of WAB," Head of School Dr. Marta Medved Krajnovic said. "I also felt so proud of our students who, during the panel discussions and school tours, were very articulate and authentic in sharing with prospective teachers. It was inspiring to hear the students discuss their learning and overall educational experience at WAB, as well as their expectations of what kind of educator a WAB teacher should be."

A group of students led a panel discussion with the candidates answering the question, “What makes a good WAB teacher?” Students said they value the relationships they have with their teachers, which serve as the foundation for personalized support in the pursuit of academic excellence and holistic well-being.
