A leading Chinese education organization named Western Academy of Beijing the #1 ranked innovative international school in China.

KingLead, a leading platform for international school resources, research, and evaluation, releases annual rankings as part of their China International School Innovation Competitiveness Top 100. Judges on the evaluation committee, which include professors from Harvard University, University of Oxford, and University of Cambridge, ranked WAB at the top of the 2020 list.

“It's an honor for WAB to be recognized so highly as an innovative and effective international school,” said Stephen Taylor, WAB’s Director of Innovation for Learning and Teaching. “The school's strong foundations, accreditations, curriculum, and operations provide our students with an education that is interesting, energizing, and globally competitive. We are thankful for the hard work of faculty and staff in all capacities of the school, as they ensure that we run smoothly and are able to continually think about and take action on innovation in international education.”

Throughout the evaluation and ranking process, judges look at indicators such as certifications and accreditations, faculty members with higher education, educational philosophy, curriculum integration, faculty-to-student ratio, and brand development.
