WAB Holiday Market Raises RMB75,000 for Charities

WAB’s holiday market brought smiles to the face of our school community.

Students hosted booths offering hand-crafted, homemade, and some upcycled holiday gifts. They shopped, ate, mingled with friends, won raffle prizes, and enjoyed performances – all while supporting charities related to children’s health and education.

“So many students took part in the market this year. It was inspiring to see them sharing their passion, raising awareness, and taking action for their cause,” WAB’s Head of Charity Link Delphine Labille said. “Our students are so creative in arranging their booths and selling homemade and sustainable gifts.”

Like in previous years, the angel ornaments, designed by WAB students, were among the most popular items, with proceeds from sales going to Educating Girls of Rural China. Other booths included the sale of upcycled plastics, subscriptions to a student-run hummus delivery service, and repurposed clothing items.

In total, the event raised more than RMB75,000 for charities supporting children’s health and education.

Thank you to students, parents, ASEAN Link, Chinese Link, Korean Link, and Chartwells for their generous donations. A special thanks to the WAB Leadership team, WAB Communications Team, and all the staff involved for their support.

Together, as a community, we make a difference.
