WAB’s strategic planning journey is hitting new milestones, as all members of our community continue to take an active role in shaping the future of our school.
Over the past nine months, students, parents, teachers, teaching assistants, administration, facilities workers, guards, and WAB alumni have come together in a series of workshops to contribute insights used to develop 107 portraits. School leadership collated these sets of raw data and organized it in word-cloud illustrations. You can find more information about the data on the WAB Learns website.
These data-inspired illustrations were used over the past few weeks as provocations for the new round of stakeholder workshops. Together we looked at the emerging themes and topics and worked out how to use these findings to formulate the future impacts and outcomes we would like learning and education at WAB to achieve.
Once the key emerging impacts are discussed and approved by the WAB Board of Trustees in November, school leadership, teachers, and students will work on developing educational plans and actions that will lead to desired learning and outcomes.
“Our world and lives have changed dramatically over the past couple of years," Head of School Dr. Marta Medved Krajnovic said. "With this highly inclusive and generative strategic planning process, WAB is sharpening our focus on how we will meet the future needs of our learners and equip them with knowledge, competencies, and dispositions that they can use when making a difference within and beyond our campus walls.”
