Parents Connect for Year's First Welcome Events

It was great to see so many WAB parents gather together for the first coffee event of the school year.

WAB’s Parent Link, which is the association which serves as the connection between students, parents, and the school, hosted two events on Wednesday, welcoming nearly 200 parents. Both new and returning WAB parents mingled over breakfast or online, heard presentations from the school’s leadership team, and discovered ways to support their children’s learning and school activities.

All WAB parents are automatically members of the Parent Link and are welcome to attend events and invited to join its various committees and groups. Some of those branches of the organization include Charity Link, Chinese Link, WAB Sings, Community Link, Korean Link, Tiger Spirit Link, Friends of the Library, WAB Dads, and more. “Parents are an essential part of our school fabric, and their support and engagement is a major contributor to students’ success in academics, activities, events, and beyond,” Head of School Dr. Marta Medved Krajonvic said. “We could feel their energy and enthusiasm at today’s gathering, as well as through communications at the start of the school year. We are so grateful for the community we have.”

More parent events are coming up at WAB, including curriculum workshops, strategy planning, and social activities. Keep an eye on WAB Weekly, so you don’t miss out!
