Students Raise Awareness & Funds during Pride Week

All week in the High School, students raised awareness and funds for Pride Week, aimed at creating a safe and comfortable environment for the LGBTQ+ community.

Hosted by the student-led club Spectrum, lunch time activities included performances and collective art projects as part of a campaign to symbolize that WAB is a community that accepts people of all gender and sexual identities.

"WAB already is an extremely diverse school," said Natalie Cheng, the club leader. "In general, it's a very open school, and people are made to feel really comfortable. But there are still ongoing issues in sexual identity and gender identity and those issues should never be trivialized."
