WAB has been named China’s most innovative international school for a third consecutive year by KingLead, one of the most prestigious school ranking organizations in China.

KingLead’s 2023 ranking was released on January 31, 2023 as part of their China International School Innovation Competitiveness Top 100. The panel of judges, which includes professors from Harvard, Oxford, and Cambridge, ranked our school #1 in 2020, 2021 and now again in 2022. The ranking is composed of the top 50 schools for children of foreign personnel and the top 50 of private international schools.

"The global award for strategic leadership, the award for the most innovative school in China and the nomination for the Holistic Education award – none of these recognitions are a coincidence. It is a testament to the never ending commitment of WAB's educators and leaders to design the conditions for learning that can best prepare students for the future," WAB Head of School Dr. Marta Medved Krajnovic said.

“Being awarded the Most Innovative International School in China for the third year in a row is an affirmation of the consistency of WAB in taking a lead in education, providing excellent learning opportunities for our students and maintaining strong collaborations with our accrediting agencies as they also seek to innovate and improve international education,” said Stephen Taylor, WAB’s Director of Innovation in Learning & Teaching.

Throughout the evaluation and ranking process, judges look at indicators such as certifications and accreditations, faculty members with higher education, educational philosophy, curriculum integration, faculty-to-student ratio, learning innovation and brand development.
