Another season of WAB Wild kicked off this week.
Students traveled into WAB's outdoor education facilities for their annual camping trips in the mountainous and forested areas outside of Beijing. Hiking, mountain climbing, abseiling, navigating, and emergency training were on the menu of activities. The three-day trips are for students to reconnect with nature, challenge themselves in new ways, and apply their learning outside the classroom.
"We're teaching them how to use math, languages, and sciences in nature," WAB Wild Outdoor Education Teacher Elaine Kinlough said. "Everything is incorporated in the three-day trips out here at WAB Wild."
